An Arboricultural Impact Assessment (AIA) is a detailed report prepared by a qualified arborist that evaluates how a proposed development may affect existing trees on or near the site. In accordance with AS 4970 – Protection of trees on development sites, the assessment identifies which trees can be retained, which may need to be removed, and provides clear recommendations for tree protection and management throughout the construction process

Why is an Arboricultural Impact Assessment necessary?
Ensures compliance with council and planning regulations.
Prevents unnecessary removal of valuable or protected trees.
Protects trees from structural damage and health decline and thereby mitigating risk to public and private safety and property damage
Supports sustainable development by integrating trees into project planning.
Provides clear documentation for planning approvals and construction management.
